Amanda: New Products
- Don’t go crazy talking about them if you haven’t tried them. Try them, display them, show how you can sell them. If someone asks you about the product, “how are those shine cloths?” you need to know how to respond
- Go through ALL of the files when you get added to your black level page
- Educate yourself – try to find answers yourself before you ask
- Go public, make sure people know you are open for business
- 1stever social media networking marketing company
- very powerful: Social media can catch a predator, find your dog, bring your kids home
- Company pays daily
- Mission driven
- Hot sizzle product – 3D fiber lash mascara
- First time trying mascara – Bri didn’t get results first time, need to know how to troubleshoot for those people. Generally user error
- FB – still main way
- Brick building, you wouldn’t build your store, go in and just sit down and hope to be successful – you must OPEN your doors everyday and people must KNOW that you are open!
- Do not be afraid to post on personal page – make money, don’t do it bc it’s cute or cool, do it bc it pays your bills. Don’t do it, don’t have a business
- Launch party no matter what
- Be consistent/persistent – don’t sell at a party? Do another one. Still branding and planting seeds for later
- When she asked who has had a party where they didn’t sell anything, the whole room raised their hands. Amber, Amanda, Bri, Lonnie, Heather, Kim, Cara
- Customers: Shouldn’t have to ask do you still do it? They should think of Younique, think of YOU. YOU are the Younique lady
- Car decal – get one
- McD story
- Don’t say “3D Fiberlash $29 get it here” – try “imagine the conversations this is gonna start”
- Follow up “how do you like it, send me a pic?”
- Anything negative – troubleshoot
- If you can’t fix it, find something else and sell them that
- Vendor Events
- You will have duds
- Marketing Materials:
- Don’t spend a ton of money on catalogs/blitz cards if you aren’t going to go out and have real conversations with people
- Just leaving them places is not going to be nearly as successful
- Reach OUT to your sponsor
- Don’t just wait for them to reach out to you, she’s out reaching out to her sponsor, building her business. Be proactive
- Parties
- Send a personal message to every single person who was added, don’t just treat them like one in a group
- Crickets: PM “I don’t know if you saw, but here’s the link, if you have any questions, I’m here”
- Start 10 day parties on a Wednesday – two paycheck Fridays
- Follow up 3-3-3
- 3 days – thanks for ordering
- 3 weeks – how are you liking it
- 3 months – time to reorder
- Business is not easy but so simple
- Reach out to your fb friends, be genuine, talk about their lives: Cutest puppy pic, what kind
- People want to do business with you bc they like you. They can get the product from anyone. Personalize
- NOT about the instant sell
- Booking
- If people aren’t coming to you about hosting: “Hey Ky, I’m setting up this link for you, all I’m asking you to do is add your friends to it. If you want to earn it for free, help me promote it”
- Just go ahead and do it. If they do nothing with it, doesn’t cost you anything
- DON’T party swap – people will get confused when you are posting about other companies on your page. You are branding Younique
Personal Development – Amber Voight
- “You need to grow yourself, for your checks to grow”
- Network marketing skills
- Should always be reading something to grow your business
- Jim Rohn Network Marketing – YouTube
- Eric Worre – Go Pro
- The Flip Flop CEO
- See success – people think “she’s lucky”
- No, you’re working, showing up, going to convention
- Don’t focus on how much money you can make, focus on how many women you can help, then the money will come
- lead by EXAMPLE – touch cheek, touch chin demo
Recruiting/Sponsoring – Bri Richardson
- Business is not about who sells the most, it’s about who builds the strongest
- The more people you add to your team, the more 0’s you add to your paycheck
- Recruiting v. sponsoring
- 99% of success, I sold it to them first
- Should not feel pressure to recruit, all you do is keep having conversations, building relationships, follow up even after months of crickets
- DON’T PUSH
- “Have you ever thought about selling younique?”
- No, tell me more. Easy conversation, not 6 pages
- We are not in the business of selling kits!
- People complaining about old kit – we aren’t selling kits! That’s a bonus
- Three C’s: crazy/compliment/confidence
- Use it in person too – give a genuine compliment. “I have a mascara empire, and you need one too”
- 3 people a day/bangle trick
- Being out, not talking to people, chickening out
- Bri tells her downline – when you chicken out, call me and tell me where you are, and I’ll go sign them
- Not oversaturated
- “My town is too small, have to get out”
- not until everyone in the restaurant is wearing Younique it’s not
- 242 personally sponsored – if you are not doing it, she will. It is up to you
- No multiple DS companies:
- Why not Bri? You did it
- Answer: I took that path, but if I’d taken a straighter line and been here, I’d be a gazillionaire right now. Don’t jump around
- If it was working 3 months ago and isn’t now, go back to what you were doing 3 mo ago and do that again
- Only third annual, great to be part of something from the very beginning
- When you think you want to find another “you” – shutting everyone else off that isn’t just like you
- Others will build their own way, with their own personality. Everyone brings something different to the table
- Color quiz – Red/Blue/Yellow/Green
- Red – type A, money driven
- Blue – social, life of the party, high PRS
- Yellow – nurturer, in the business to help people
- Green – detail oriented, wants to know biz plan, ingredients
- It’s not about YOU, it’s about them. Talk to them based on their needs and what color they are
Younique Foundation Update – Cara Ramey
- Mission: non-profit org to help women who were sexually abused by a man they should have been able to trust
- 1/3 to ¼ women have had this experience
- 90% of sexual abuse is from someone they should have been able to trust
- Younique will spend millions just trying to raise awareness – counsel those who have been through abuse, prevention, get around stigma
- Derek started Younique for two reasons:
- Cara
- Foundation – his goal was to have it up and running in 5 years
- Younique Foundation Counseling Retreat: First group of women will attend in 80 days
- “When we sell mascara, when we sell makeup, we are funding healing.”
- They must get there, then all expenses paid for counseling and stay, 4 days long
- Initially, we will do about one per month
- Once the cabin is built in SLC, 3 groups of 8 per week, 3 weeks per month
- Cabin in Utah is first, eventually hope to have them countrywide and internationally
- Shelaine Maxfield, Derek’s wife is CEO
- Application process:
- Will soon be open to the public, all women not just presenters, very specific criteria
- Anticipate huge need
- Cabin will open next year for official trainings
- Donations:
- Younique can accept them now, but cannot solicit them yet
- Fundraisers – good idea for presenters
- Will eventually have an option to donate a percentage of your check as well
Building Relationships – Amber Voight
- If there were no people, there would be no mascara
- Books to Read
- “How to Win Friends and Influence People”
- “How to Make People Like You in 90 Seconds or Less”
- “The Slight Edge” by Jeff Olson
- Relationships
- Making people feel good, and doing it genuinely
- All about them, not you
- Attraction marketing
- Make a lot of friends on facebook
- New Black/personally sponsored Breanne – joined through top income earner at another company
- Networking is NOT trying to sign people up, it’s sharing ideas
- Go into a network marketing group – I’m looking to learn some tips from other network marketers. Add me as a friend.
- People join people, they don’t join companies
- So they might have another connection
- Shy? “Do it shy” Scared? “Do it scared”
- Goal 2,000 friends on fb, that’s when you start seeing massive success
- Comment/like posts on newsfeed, always be complimentary
- YouTube
- If you aren’t using it, you’re leaving a lot of money on the table
- Network marketing videos on youtube
- Younique doesn’t require 100% of your time, but it does require 100% of the time you are willing to give
- Stop stalking your ex, playing candy crush on facebook – start working
- Shari Brown’s Art of Non-Selling video
- Youtube – post more videos
The Art of Duplication – Amanda Blockson
- “All you have to do to hit black status is just not quit”
- 80% of the world is in economic distress. And you have the answer to that if they are. Think about what you could do for them. Stop thinking about you – start thinking about that.
- “You’re not going to walk out of here and have people fall into your lap, you gotta fall into theirs”
- In this little black case you are offering more than two tubes of mascara – you are offering worth, parents who can stay home, confidence
Overcoming Obstacles – Cara Ramey
- “Find somebody that believes in you MORE than you believe in you”
- “What right do I have to not go and share it? What right do I have to now let this opportunity bless other people the way it has me?”
Time Management – Bri
- Wake up a little earlier. Go to bed a little later. People always say I don’t have time. “You have time, you’re just sleeping through it.”
- Once you do it, you should feel guilt if you ever give up. Bc you did this for your children, you took that time away from your children, and then you threw in the towel?
